Labour Biographies and Prosopography

41st Linz Conference (September 15th–18th, 2005)
organized by International Conference of Labour and Social History (ITH) and Chamber of Labour of Upper Austria, kindly supported by the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Culture, the Provincial Government of Upper Austria, the City of Linz, the Austrian Federation of Trade Unions and the Friedrich Ebert-Foundation Bonn.

Some Remarks concerning the organization of the conference.

In the framework of the 41st Linz Conference an exhibition about the "October Strike" of 1950 — a still disputed event in Austrian post war history ("communist putsch attempt" or social uprising?) — was shown. More information in German.
